1985, was a year of bright color and eye- catching accessories. Florescent pinks and glowing yellows are not an unusual sight. The 1985 Miss Patrian Pageant was held on February 9, 1985. The Pageant consisted of seventy-one contestants and was produced by the Patrian staff. Entertainment was provided by the Southern Dance Academy. The girls were judged on beauty and poise in two categories: the sportswear and the evening gown competi- tion. After the top five were chosen, they were asked questions by the Master of Ceremonies, and the final deci- sion was made.
