' Ei .. C ww, i- ! Peggy for the kill. The Brewer High Volleyball team had a successful 1983 season, they had an 18-9 record during regular season and were undefeated in the Morgan County Tour- nament. Andrea Bryner was voted Most Valuable Player of the County Tourna- ment. Representing Brewer on the All- County team were Andrea Bryner, Pam Oldacre, Amanda Tyler, and Peggy Durham. The volleyball team then went to the Regional Tournament and finished with a tournament record of 2-2. When asked about the toughest match played this season, Coach Ricky Allen immediate- ly thought of Austin High School, We played Austin in the County Tournament at Brewer. It was a pressure situation because the game was in the semi-finals of the County Tournam'ent. Since the game was during school, the girls really wanted to make a good impression and they did. The Varsity team defeated Austin and went on to defeat Decatur 15-4, 15-5, mak- ing a clean sweep of the tournament and defending their title . . . as Morgan Coun- ty Champs. ,, 5 ' , f 51 The team is in the huddle- Beth Bryner does her share.
