Traditional Brevard College is an institution of traditions. Some of the customs that have been visible to the Class of ' 85 are the lighting of the big Christmas tree in December, braving the cold plunge at Sliding Rock , walking to class in the rain almost every day. and participating in the annual Derby Day. Another cus- tom that will always be at Brevard as long as there is a creek running through the campus is the traditional creek- ing on known birthdays. However, one final tradition for each Brevard College student is to march through the old arch just beside Taylor dorm on gradu- ation day. When students pass under that arch one final time, they have marched out with a hope and dream fulfilled. • ' «» 1-N Brevard College traditions are cre- ated tor enjoyment These tradi- tions allow everyone to become in- volved in campus life and enjoy the atmosphere of Brevard College.
