Dorothy Gail Gray Brevard, North Carolina Day Students ' Club; International Relations Club; Preacher ' s Kids Club. Dot does many things well, but she hopes to become an expert in home economics. James Laurel Gray Guilford College, North Carolina Agriculture Club. James not only hres the furnace well, but he is also a conscientious student. Nash ' s ability to type and to snap and develop pictures was a great help to the Pertelote Staff. Margaret Carolyn Gregg Black Mountain, North Carolina Euterpean; Fireside Club; Folk-Dance Club; Foren- sic Club; Future Teachers of America; Glee Club; Sigma Pi Alpha. Carolyn is not only interested in French and Spanish; she is also concerned with that thing called love. Rachel Irene I Iamlin Brevard, North Carolina Day Students ' Club. When Rachel is around, the group seems to take on new life. Her pleasing personality and good looks have won her many friends. William Otis I Iead SWANNANOA, NoRTH CAROLINA Agriculture Club, Vice President ' 41; Folk-Dance Club, Vice-President ' 41. Bill, one of our dairy men, is almost infallible concerning any question in agriculture. Besides finding time for many other extra-curricular activities, he is one of the leading men in the Folk-Dance Club. Andrew Lee I Ielton Bessemer City, North Carolina Cliosophic; Commercial Club. Andrew proved his dependability as efficient Ross Hall janitor and conscientious member of the construction crew.

He will oblige you. Waldorf Stanley Crawley Raeford, North Carolina Here is another Brevard College student headed fc the Army Air Corps. James Allen Crisp, Jr. Brevard. North Carolina Baptist Student Union. Secretary ' 40, President ' 41; Cliosophic, Chaplain ' 41; Day Students Club; International Relations Club, Vice-President ' 41; Forensic Club. James ' interest in debating was second onlv to his desire to be a lawyer. Mildred Louise Crouch Hiddenite. North Carolina Christian Workers ' Club; Euterpean; Fireside Club; Folk-Lore Club. Mildred was very willing and reliable in everything she undertook. Whether it was writing a term paper or playing pranks on her roomies, she enioved whatever she did. Robert Hardin Crowder Shelby, North Carolina Boosters ' Club; Delphian; Medical Science Club. Bob had two keen interests. One of them was responsible for the rumor that he had developed quite a hand for washing dishes, and the other was engineering. Don always kept an eye open as nightwatchman, as well as when he played basketball and football.

If her college experiences are a fair indication of the future, she will soon attain this goal. Helen Anne Horne Peachland, North Carolina Commercial Club; Euterpean, Pianist ' 40. Helen Anne ' s quiet, studious ways will be assets in her secretarial career. Gene still wishes to be a journalist, in spite of his practical experience with the Clarion. In spite of being chemistry coach and a science major, John still has time to play pranks on evervbodv in Tavlor Hall. Vivian Rosie Lee Huff Central, South Carolina Commercial Club; Glee Club; Folk-Dance Club; Mnemosynean. She sings as she works, whether in West Hall or an uptown office. Charles Aycock Jones Brevard, North Carolina Choir. Chady will be remembered for his un- failing wit and his good work in the classroom. He takes a great interest in dogs, especially his beadle hounds.
