Jack is as witty as they make them. She ' s just full of jolly good spunk, and it will really take her places. Remember, Jack, diamonds are just chunks of coal that stuck to the job. WILLIAM RALPH EDWARDS Winston-Salem, North Carolina In his very quietness lies his personality. Delphian, Secretary; Football, Captain ' 37; Basket- ball; Baseball; Monogram Club; Travel Club; Boosters ' Club, Vice-President ' 37. A snap, a dash, a score, a riot! Yes, that blurr was Bill. Bill is an all-around good fellow, and we were proud to have him with us. DOYLE CHARLES EDMUNDSON Pisgah Forest, North Carolina He ' s a fighting tackle, and tile arc sure he ' ll get tin- goal in life that is seldom reached. Monogram Club; Agriculture Club; Football. He is one of the quietest boys in Brevard College but one of the most dependable. He is a good football player, and he is going to be equally as good as a forest ranger. Pisgah Forest will be glad to claim him. CECIL POWELL EVANS Lexington, North Carolina Cecil ' s quiet, but he ' s sure to go far; For he ' s hitched his wagon to a star. Delphian; Sigma Phi Alpha; Dormitory Council. If being quiet brings high laurels, Cecil will be a great man. Surely he has started well on a career here at Brevard. He is well-liked, and his perspicacity brings just reward. LALLAH MAY EDWARDS Clinton, South Carolina Ambitious, sincere, with a character strong; May her career as a nurse be successful and long. We don ' t suppose she knows how. Honesty and loyalty such as she shows will take Lallah May far. IVA WARD EVERHARDT Lexington, North Carolina For Ward the girls are sure to fall, .Is he is handsome, dark, and tall. Delphian; International Relations Club; Dormitory Council. A typical lad, full of vim. likeable in every respect. He has a heart of gold and is bound to succeed. GERALDINE EMMA DeVIER Taylorsville, North Carolina Debater, hiker, attorney-at-law, The talkingest girl a man ever saw. Jerry ' s the life of the party or classroom or any other place in which you find her. Her outstanding capacity for brilliant handling of sarcasm and pure humor is really re- markable. Her accomplishments prove her ability in work of all kinds. It will never be said that G.E.D.V. was not at the top. At the top she is, and there she will remain. Amen. NELL GRACE DAVENPORT Greenville, South Carolina There ' s more lite and vim and pep in Nell Than scores of tongues in hours can tell. Mnemosynean; Fireside Club; Baptist Club. Ha, ha, ha, etc. — so far into the night. Nell caused all that laughter. I honestly believe she causes more fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys. What of it? We like it. Ha, ha, ha. VAUGHN HAMPTON DORSETT Ramseur, North Carolina He ' s never gloomy, he ' s never sad — The very best roomy that Scott ever had. Cliosophic. Witty? Methinks even that word won ' t define him. It ' s hard to say what he is, but Vaughn is definitely what all the rest of the world is not. And he ' s one of these people with lots of grit who seldom kick up dust. 23

Mitch is a boy who commands respect and admiration. He has been very active in all campus affairs. He has been an excellent soda- jerker, and we know he will make good in anything he attempts. TURNER COLE FEEZOR Lexington, North Carolina This hard working fellow will make the grade In following whatever plans he has made. Although he has been with us only a year, Turner has shown us that he has principles and the backbone to stand up to them. He is interested in scientific farming. WILLIAM MUNDY FOWLER Charlotte, North Carolina A good musician, with a friendly grin — He ' s already started when others begin. Delphian. Bill attended N. C. State College one year, where he was the accompanist for the Glee Club and also a member of the orchestra. He is a man who has won his place here as one of our best musicians. If he does everything as well as he plays the piano, we know he will succeed in life. LOTTIE GRAY FRAZIER Spray, North Carolina .111 the qualities ol a splendid woman combined with a wonderful intellect. Jeanette attended Erskine College dur- ing her freshman year. She made a good record there and has continued her good work here.
