From comparative isolation at Ross Hall, Charlie calls our attention to his keen humor. And his looks — girls, have you noticed? Here ' s one boy who ' ll coma out at the top. Her ready smile and unusual personality make her popular among the students. We are expecting her to make good in the field of commercial education. ALFRED WARD BUCHANAN Tryon, North Carolina ' Dime ' is not out tor the ladies lair. But they come to his whistle from everywhere. Delphian. Dime came to Brevard in ' 35, but left after the first quarter for Cullowhee. This year he has decided to come back and stay — we hope. While at W.C.T.C. he played football; here he seems to be the champion hose-shoe pitcher. Buck says he will go to the field of education for his life work. Here ' s luck to him! ELIZABETH MARIE BROOKSHIRE West Asheville, North Carolina Smiling and willing always to do Whatever she can that her friends ask her to. Brevard stands for work, and Carl takes it on as fast as it ' s given him. So well does he accomplish any and every job, we know that he will do as well in whatever he undertakes in life. Lunette — or better known as Luney — is always ready to begin something; and we ' ll bet there ' ll be a happy ending, too. ELIZABETH HARRELSON CRAFT Cherryville, North Carolina J friendly smile anil cheery hello. There ' s nothing about French this girl doesn ' t know. Glee Club; Choir; Fireside Club; Mnemosynean; International Relations Club. This girl is one whom you may always find wrapped in some French book or a classic. It is good to have her in a class to answer the questions, though. In spite of her classi- cal-mindedness, Elizabeth has quite a modem outlook on life. WALTER FRANCIS CRAVEN Winston-Salem, North Carolina ' Cause his humor ' s never lading and his loyalty can ' t end. He ' d like with Midge to claim him even more than just a friend. Big words like original, intelligent, dependable, and capable describe Frank but even these words do not tell of the friend who made the gay things gayer and the difficult things less difficult. She is one of the quietest girls that we have. She seldom pushes out in front but always cooperates well with her fellow- workers. She is a very studious girl and does good work. She is a faithful friend to everyone, and the kind that will make the world better.
