Sdf- fdfl In this picture is depicted one of the most important extra-curricula activities on our campus. The one-hundred acre farm not only furnishes many students the op- portunity to earn money to be applied on their expenses, but suppies the campus dining halls with meats and vegetables. Brevard makes it possible for deserving young people to attend college who would not be able to go without this remunera- tion which their practical ability brings them. If one takes his work seriously, as he should, he gets practical experience. The students have instructors to supervise the work which they are given to do. It is really a pleasure to work in a system of this kind. One does not feel that it is work, but that it is a part of his regular college training. No matter what his choice of work may be, he gains ex- perience which will benefit him in later years. It is with the deepest appreciation that this cooperative plan is accepted by the students of Brevard. We wish it even more success in the future than it has had in the past. zmozi

J [ to tliE CLa±± of igSJ I URING the period of two years which you have L ' spent in Brevard College you have acquired certain ideals and attitudes. You are not the same persons you were when you came to this in- stitution. You have more information and you have developed some new techniques. You ought to be better and different. You ought to have the ability and the habit of standing alone. You ought to have the cooperative spirit also. My great hope for you is that you may continue your education and that those whole- some qualities which you have acquired here may continue to develop. We hope that your various achievements in future years may reflect credit upon this college. The public will evaluate the institution by the appraisal which it places upon you. Eugene J. Coltrane, President of the College. ;iiii!MiEimittMNMmiMiffiniiinNflaMiiniai
