' fr i 'I I r r The efficient operation of the Brea Junior High is due in great part to this capable staff, In the office, Mrs, Starke handles both routine procedures and emergen- cies with easc. Mrs. Tonneson assists in the office and with the typing of this yearbook. Mrs. Spohn, we think, knows every book in the library. Our nurse, Mrs, Fox, deals efficiently with real and imaginary ailments, and Mrs. Brcinholt and Mrs. Slining aid those who require special help, Under Mrs. Brown's direction the cafeteria turns out delicious meals. Mr. andM1's. Brown and Mr. Morris keep our rooms clean, and how would we get to school without our cheerful, capable bus drivers ? NOT PICTURED: Coach Tom Urich, Robin McKee, John DiBernardo, Mr. Beauchamp, the seventh and eighth grade boys P. E. teacher, has helped to develop and better their ability as athletes by encouraging cooperation and abetting team spirit. During the football season our coaches, Mr. Beauchamp and Mr. Hughes, and our team united their efforts to become for- midable opponents for our competitors. Two of our most exciting football games were the 12-12 tie with Calder and the 13-6 win over Imperial. Basketball season was one of the highlights of our school year. Our B basketball team started off the season with a 40-18 win over McComber while, in one of the best games of the year, our A team wiped out Calder 51-28. Our track' stars outdid themselves to lead our school to vic- tory. Randy Segovia, Robin McKee, Ross Mickey, and Jeff Harris composed one of our relay teams. Our baseball season was extremely successful due to the fine fielding and batting of our team members which included Bob Good, John DiBernardo, and Harry Dowell. Under the leadership of our coaches and Mr. Beauchamp, the boys had a fine athletic season. va: a., , 4
