Class Prophecy The year is 1970 From the March 23 edition of the country's greatest newspaper, The Brandon Unlimited: Last night was the opening of the new Brandon Hilton, believed to be the largest luxury hotel in the world. A flock of Associated Press reporters and several mobile television units assigned to cover the gala event found themselves lost in the huge building. Searching for the festivities, they made a startling discovery. Concealed in one of the fabulous ballrooms of the hotel were the press-shy celebrities of the class of '58. Here for the first time is the amazing story of their successes. PAUL ASHLEY is manufacturing the newest hot-rods for teenagers. It’s called the Jet Jeep, designed from Paul's 1958 version. GENE BARROWS is head librarian at the Brandon Municipal Library. AUDREY BECKWITH is succeeding as the proprietor of Beckwith's Pharmacy. ELAINE BROWN is a test-driver for Ford Motor Company. Her friends call her Crash, so just think what her enemies must call her. BRENDA BRUSH is a television star and makes most of her appearances on the Steve Allen Show, replacing Steverino. PRISCILLA BUTLER is the new driver-education instructor at Brandon High. Mr. Fallon, now retired, says she is quite lucky, since Brandon is one of the first places to receive the new dual-controlled helicopters. NANCY CAMERON is head nurse at Brandon’s multi-million dollar veterinary hospital, one of the best known in the Otter Valley. RUDOLPH CHARBONNEAU is one of the most respected members on the city council. He has recently launched a project to build a new swimming pool on the roof of the high school. He hopes to install Esther Williams as a permanent fixture. EVA CLARK is one of the head scientists working on the project to colonize the planets. Next week she and some of her assistants plan to blast off for Venus. It is believed she will be the first woman to land on this planet. Unfortunately, she will not be the first to return to earth. ROBERT FALES is the owner of Ryan Motors, still using the slogan See Ryan Before Buying. Mr. Ryan, who now sells Fords, finds this very helpful. ANNETTE FAY has risen to fame as the world’s lightweight champion lady wrestler. ANN GREENO is one of several interior decorators working for Grace Kelly in Monaco. CLESSON HAYES is living in Brazil, where he and his beautiful wife own a coffee plantation. KENNETH HAYES is employed by Cadillac designing futuristic ash-trays for the 1999 El Dorado. ELEANOR HUCKEMS has married Junie and with their eight boys are running an armadillo ranch outside Austin, Texas. RALPH HUMISTON is manager of the new IGA Super Market, located on Conant Square. JEAN HUNT is the Pulitzer-prize winning author of How to Skip Detention and Still Go on Breathing. KATHLEEN JOHNSON is playing the leading role in the Broadway production Red-Heads Prefer Gentlemen. PATRICIA KEITH has married Wayne, and they are painting towers together. RICHARD KINGMAN is the star pitcher for the Brandon Braves. ROSE LANDON has become a hair stylist in Hollywood, California. LYNN LEWIS has started a gossip column in the Rutland Herald. This has tripled the circulation. ALVIN MAHONEY has joined the state police force in self-defense. He got tired of being picked up.
