ROSE GIROUX Rose was always fond of playing basketball and is now bringing up her five girls as a basketball team. ELITA GOODSPEED Elita returned to Brandon High School for another year because she couldn't resist the charm of her English professor. FLORENCE GRIFFIN Florence surprised everyone and is now teaching engineering at M. L T. PHYLLIS HAYES Phyllis went to Hollywood for a screen test. She is now the leading lady in the new Walt Disney cartoon series. NANCY HERZOG Nancy is now a nurse in the WACS giving physical therapy to injured service men. NANCY HORNBECK Nancy has risen to fame and is now conducting the Boston Pops Sympathy Orchestra. MARGUERITE LAVOIE Marguerite is unable to attend the reunion because of extensive research trying to refute Einstein's Theory of Relativity. ANNE LEAKE Ann jumped to fame in the world of art and is now acclaimed as the second Grandma Moses. STUART LEE Stuart enjoyed the National Guard so much in his high school days that he de- cided to make a career of the Army (He is still in the National Guard). ROY LEWIS Roy is now teaching Driver's Education at the new Brandon High School. JO ANN MAHEU After extensive bidding Jo Ann is finally the proud owner of Nashua and she expects to enter him in the great race events in Vermont next season. PEARL McKEIGHAN Pearl is now president of Larry's Chevrolet Sales and Service in Brandon. GORDON NAILOR Gordon, after years of study, is chief cook and bottle washer at the Kong Chow Restaurant in Rutland. ELIZABETH O’BRIEN Betty after years of practice is now touring New York with the International Ballet Company. DOUGLAS PHILIPSEN Doug is still running for selectman of Brandon. His ambition is to become Governor of Vermont. LORRAINE PRATT Lorraine is in the poultry business and has created a monopoly in Brandon. LORNA RICARD Lorna will soon be principal of the new grade school in Forest Dale. SIMONE ROCHON Simone won an Academy Award last year for her efforts in Alfred Hitchcock's latest mystery The Creature From the Black Lagoon Has Stolen My Heart.

Class Prophecy It is now 1970. The following is a progress report of the Class of ’56 taken at the Class Reunion held at the Brandon Inn. DAVE ARTHUR Dave became dissatisfied with the American custom of one wife and now is living in Arabia with 47. FRANCENA BILLINGS Francena joined the Brandon Monday Club to pursue her interest in bridge. She is now touring Vermont putting on exhibitions in various communities. LANCE BIRD Lance has progressed from managing the Lake Hortonia Red Wings to the Bos- ton Red Sox. MARY BLACKMER Mary is one of the leading fashion designers in the country and has been work- ing as manager of Vogue these past two years. MARY BRISSON Mary is the leading society columnist of the Burlington Free Press. NANCY BROWN Nancy has been jailed for an indefinite amout of time for her bookie activities. DAVID CENTER Dave, alais Manly Rash, because of his exquisite physique is modeling at the Frock Shop. THOMAS CHRISTIAN Tom went to spring training with the Milwaukee Braves but found that he was- n't fast enough. He is now playing with the donkeybaseball team in Concord, N. H. ROBERTA CLIFFORD Berta has graduated from the Punkhole School of Nursing and is now in Alaska taking care of Eskimos. THOMAS CRONIN Tom is now an Arthur Murray dance instructor, working under the assumed name of Tom Brown. EDWARD DARLING Eddie is now the leading baritone in the Metropolitan Opera. GERALD deLANCY Jerry has risen to fame on the musical scene with his new recording Its been so lonesome in the saddle since my horse died. ” KATHLEEN DONOVAN Kathy is now singing bass on TV for the Ajax commercials. ELEANOR DUNDON Eleanor is the No. 1 model for the Esquire calendar girl series. JOYCE FARNSWORTH Joyce is now touring with the circus and she is billed as the fat lady. She was an immediate success. CHARLES FARRELL Charlie was unable to attend the reunion but when asked what he was doing, he replied, I am President of the C. I. O. because everyone I see I owe. ROBERT FORGUITES Bob is now stage manager of Club 18 at the Rutland Fair. JANET FOXX Jann has the distinction of being the first girl graduate of Norwich University.

CYNTHIA SEVERY Cynthia has become the first woman president of the Brandon National Bank. LORRAINE SEVERY Lorraine grew tired of the world a few years ago and left on an expedition for the moon and hasn't been heard from since. LEON SHACKETT Bucky proved his athletic ability and is now engaged in Mobile, Alabama with a croquet demonstration troupe. CLESSON SMITH Clesson's love of hillbilly music made him an instant success over WWVA. Wheeling West Virginia. You can hear him every weekday morning at 2 a. m. MAYLON SMITH Maylon is a proofreader for the Dell Pocket Book Publishing Company. RICHARD SMITH Dick is the ace repairman and owner of the Brandon TV Development Associ- ation with branch offices in Shoreham, Orwell, and Monaco. WILLIAM SNOW Bill, after proving his geometric theories to Mrs. Clifford, journeyed to New York and is now a feature panel member of Meet the Press. DEAN STANLEY Dean is now wrestling in Chicago under the assumed name of Gorgeous Gilford. ROSALIND STEVERS Rosie is conducting a research on the origin and cure of measles. LYNN SULLIVAN Lynn is a marriage counselor, working for Tommy Mannville. PETER THORNE Pete holds the worlds record for the fastest typing rate. He now averages 250 words per minute. DONALD WELCH Don is driving in the Salt Lake Drag Races with Mr. Fay as his Co-driver. CHRIS WHEELER Chris has taken over ownership of the Brandon Inn and is constructing a chain throughout the country. MARILYN WHEELER Marilyn is the head dish washer at the Brandon Inn, getting meager wages from the tycoon Mr. Chris Wheeler. BRENDA WHITTAKER Brenda is happily settled on a farm with 12 children and 13 cows.
