tcUhuU I ;1 HOW LITTLE WE KNOW I hope you have read the story of Nell Rankin, who at the age of twelve made up her mind to become a grand opera singer, bolstered by her faith in her father ' s assurance: You can do any- thing you want in life— anything— if you just try hard enough. She reached her goal as I am sure each of you who are willing to follow in the same spirit may likewise do. Two things are required: ambition and hard work. Your future and our school ' s reputation depend on the extent to which you accept and practice the implications of this attitude.
