Like the boys team there were only two girls returning for their second year of tennis. This is a very young team consisting mostly of sophomores and fresh- en. With hard work they should improve greatly by the end of this season. BOYS TENNIS There were only two members of the Boys Varsity Tennis team returning from last season. Despite this factor, the boys should go undefeated in conference play. Many of the underclassmen look very promising for the future.

We've been hampered by rain all season. We have had 3 meets canceled because of bad weather. The track team did participate in the Buckeye Invitational on March 29th. We competed against some stiff opposition, but we were able to see where our strengths and weaknesses were on the track team. The majority on the track team are Freshmen and Sophomores. They work hard and will do what ever is asked of them to do for our team. Most of the team are toward the future with high expectations. As track coach, Coach King is Very pleased with the attitude and effort of each member of the team. We have great hopes for Lynda Hageman and Steve DeGoey this season. Being Seniors, we believe they have an excellent chance for state honors.
