"Do as I say, and not as I do," is the
advice of most teachers. But this isn't
true of Miss Grantham, the home econom-
ics teacher of Bradford High School. She
says, "Do as I do if you wish to enjoy life."
For no one enjoys life more than Miss
Grantham. She is pleasant in class, the
halls, and to all students at informal meet-
ings. Miss Grantham is also a promoter.
She organized the women teachers into
a corporation for the purpose of purchas-
ing a '28 Chevie, christened "Katie." The
teachers had lots of fun traveling about
in the car and took plenty of kidding from
the student body as to the method in
which it was steered down the highways.
Since that time Miss Grantham traded her
partnership in "Katie" for at Chevie of
a. later model. Miss Grantham is also
very progressive. She was one of the first
teacher in the state to recognize the
value of unit course in home economics.
She served on the state committee for the
reorganization of the curriculum. As a re-
sult Bradford High School was among the
first high schools in the state to have
home economics taught by the unit course.
Miss Grantham enjoys taking pictures.
So with her camera she is always having
students posing, taking pictures of school
affairs, etc. The student council certain-
ly appreciates her in this hobby for it
is a great help to the annual. So it is
with great pleasure that the student
council of Bradford High School dedi-
cate this issue to a competent, cheerful
and progressive teacher, Miss Winifred
Grantham.
