The Department of Science and Mathematics offered an intriguing world of knowledge for those willing to work for it. Trigonometry and physics were ioys to serious-minded students. Tracing Turtox cards and dissecting frogs in biol- ogy and burning sulphur in chemistry are pleas- ant memories now that the work is completed. Plane and solid geometry with their triangles and cubes offer a compelling challenge to all mathematicians. These help change high school students into the skilled workmen, scientists, and engineers of tomorrow. Dick Olson explains how he managed to obtain these lines on the graph, Mike Clayton appears ready to comment. Will it explode?
