The English Department works for perfection in written and oral English, challenges the imagination of the students with colorful literature and composition courses. The result-clear thinking and expression of ideas. Stu- dents with extra energy and enthusiasm tackled Latin, French, and Spanish, and discovered them to be fascinating and fun. Evidence of this was the lively foreign conversation carried on outside of class. Public speaking gave valuable experience and training in expressing oneself before a group.
