Without a foreman to surpervise the Work to be done
on the range, the leatherbeaten cowpokes wouldn't be
able to organize and accomplish the many chores of
ranch life. On every good ranch there is a foreman to
instruct the city greenhorns, keep down the know-all
Wranglers, and keep above the Wise and experienced
Here on the range at BHS we also have our tore-
men -the teachers. They, just as the ranch toremen do,
patiently instruct the greenhorns, Sophomores, keep
down the know-all Wranglers, Iuniors, and struggle to
keep above the Wise and experienced cowpunchers, the
Iust as the ranch hands look to their foreman for
guidance and instruction, We, the students of BHS, look
to our teachers for guidance in our education. As a
ranch would told up Without a leader, dear old Bracken-
ridge High would perish without the wonderful leader-
ship we receive from our teachers.
The famous King Ranch of Texas is so large that there is a month's differ-

In presenting our annual this year, We feel We must voice our appreciation to one ol
our favorite "toremen", Mr. I. D. CobbfBrackenridge's genial vice principal. Guiding a
"tenderfoot" along the rocky trail of high schools first year or helping a "cowpuncher" ride
out to face the future bravely, our Mr. Cobb is always on the alert, a smiling, willing helper.
From 1943, when he entered Brackenridge as vice principal, down to the present he has
given his love and devotion to the cause of bettering public education.
In the history of the future there will be many Brackenridge High School students who
were inspired by his vision, encouraged by his counsel, and guided by the force of his per-
