The lntramural Department attempts to provide every student with the opportunity to participate in organized and informal sports activity as regularly as his time and interest permit. Through this par- ticipation it is hoped that the individual will develop an appreciation for and make profitable use of leis- ure time in order to assume a wholesome attitude toward physical activity. Athletic activities are or- ganized both on a team and individual basis, there- by enabling all to take part. Intramural thletics Teams are organized on a cottage level with competition in eight different sports during each year. The Counsellor of each cottage coaches his teams, and results are posted after each event. Mr. Maurice H. '6Skip,7 Palrang is the Director of Athletics, and Mr. Stephen T. Calhoun is the High School Intramural Coordinator. The five counsellors that represent each of the High School Sections are: Mr. Jim Guest, Mr. Paul Bluml, Mr. Frank Vatalaro, Mr. Frank Kerns, and Mr. ,lim Keenan.
