V 1 7!ze Scand ofgcvyl 70am . . . More than three hundred boys are actively engaged in some phase of the scouting program at Boys Town. Members of the Home,s staff, to- gether with several men from Omaha who have volunteered their services, act as unit leaders and comrnitteemen. An active program, which in- cludes a week of summer camp, keeps the units busy. Father NVegner is lnstitutional Director of Scouting. Mr. P. J. Norton serves as Institutional Piepresentativeg Kazuo lkebasu and Harry Hoiterber, Neighborhood Commissioners for the Mesca Districtg and Mr. Chet Plewa, Chairman. Mr. John Mc Quade serves as chairman of the Cubbing program. High School units are Ex- plorer Posts 37, 49 and 895 and Sea Explorer Ship 37. Grade School units are Scout Troops 37, 49, 89, and Cub Pack 37. These units are pictured below and on the following pages. Pictured above is a scene from the Rechartering Ceremony held in the Held house early in 1957.
