The work on the cabinets was done by advanced students in Wood Shop 200, while students in Pattern Shop 260 and Wood Shops 200 and 300 did the work on the crutches. The crutches were assembled in the elementary schools. 24

The Art Department made posters and rationing signs. The Electric Shop constructed Morse Code sending and receiving sets for disabled veterans. Training in Aeronautics, Welding, Radio, Pre-flight Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as other courses offered at Boys' Tech, aided materially in training young men for military and civilian services. 25
