The '87-'88 Apogee Editors
. 1 N .ew Y 1
Producing a yearbook is a team effort. Many people are
involved in various capacities and each of them is a vital part
of the finished product. Before the actual work could begin,
the nrst priority was to choose a theme for our book. Since
memories of high school events are treasured by one and all,
l'Precious Moments" was chosen to be our theme, l am in-
debted to Samuel J . Butcher and his associates for allowing
us to use both his trademark, HPrecious Momentsw and his
drawings to enhance the Apogee pages. Our advisor, Eliza-
beth Papps, encouraged the staff to be independent, to make
their own decisions, and to function professionally. However,
her watchful eyes were always carefully observing and her
guidance was always present when needed. We, at Eowsher,
are indeed fortunate to have such an excellent yearbook ad-
visor and l thank her on behalf of the entire Apogee staff . A
big thank-you also must be given to the publishers' repre-
sentative, Douglas Bynum, for his advice, his help, and his
pleasant manner through the numerous problems,
revisions, etc. l am also grateful to those in the office who
were so helpftil - especially Mrs. Bernadine Powell, Cathy
Case, and Ed Boblitt. My parents, Jim and Ptuth Heider, de-
serve many thanks for always helping me out in a bind and
for providing the extra encouragement l needed. Sally Sni-
der, artist and Bowsher parent, gave of her time and talent to
paint the drawing for our cover. The countless hours spent
planning, creating, writing, typing, cutting, pasting, picture'
taking along with the other jobs involved in putting together
a yearbook were skillfully and thouroughly accomplished by
the staff members. A heartfelt thank-you goes to all of those
on the staff who worked diligently to produce a book that we
can be proud of. lt was an honor and a privilege to serve as
the l988 L'Apogee'l editor. My memories of Bosher HS and the
'fApogee" will forever be treasured as special K'Precious Mo-

possible ,There are some people l would like to thank whose
help was greatly appreciated: Cathy Case. who kept our
finances in order, Mrs. Bernadine Powell, Ed Boblitt, Doug
Bynum. George from Satinwood, Mrs. Genzman, and Hunter
