Secretary-Treasurer The Pen and Palette Club, under the supervision of Miss Reed Potter, has done much for the welfare of our school and community. They have made many contributions to the war ef- fort, such as lettering posters for the War and Chest Fund Drive, printing Christmas cards for the former art students now in serviceg making valentines for the soldiers in the Dawson Springs hospitalg and preparing the menu covers for the Red Cross to send to the Navy for their Christ- mas dinner. In addition to this they made programs and decorations for the Schoolmasters Club and many other banquets including the Speech, Music, and Pen and Palette Banquet held in the Helm Hotel on October 30, 1944, and the Senior Dinner. Also with much talent they constructed the living pictures for the Christmas program, furnished illustrations for the Annual, and painted posters for the Senior Play.
