Like the flag girls they did his year the band fundraising in order to buy their r uniforms. They are also going to ltr added an extra section to their San Diegg with the band' Lucy performance. They are called the Bearettes or Dance Corps and dance along with the band. This group consists of 12 danc- ers that auditioned at the end of the last school year. They per- form with the band at football Caballero is their choreogra- pher and sponsor. They are graded on participation during rehearsal and performances. Perforrnin with pride his year the Flag Corp started out with 24 young ladies and has dropped down to 16. This group of dedi- cated girls partici- pate in contests, pa- rades, assemblies, football games, and will perform at the Sun Bowl half-time show. They started off the season with fund-raisers to pur- chase their new uni- forms and raised money for their trip to San Diego with the band this summer. Iesus Ramirez the group's sponsor is in charge of making up the routines and teach- ing them to the group. The girls practice on Tuesdays and Thurs- days, and are graded by Ron Pingor, the band director. They are graded on sharpness, participation, and showmanship.
