No sooner had-the school year started, than football season was upon us with the thrills and spills that make it the most exciting time of the school year. Crowds of loyal spectators poured into every stadium where the Bears were to play. Although six of the nine tilts re- sulted in defeats for the Bowie team, the Bears were always there along with its backers trying to give a great showing. FO0TBALL BRINGS LAUGIIS AND TEARS Coaches Robustelli and Cox along with trainer Beeten, fol- low with critical eye the action of Bears. Combining smart strutting, expert twirling as well as improvise ing, the eighteen lively girls forming the Bowie twirling corps gav ol- orful displays in halftime activities, X 12 C.
