As any BOWEN sailor - or any sailor on any warship, for that matter - knows, there is no such thingas a Utypical day at sea. With every shift of the wind, with every change in the swells, it seems, comes a new or subtly different evolution, or lesson, or frus- tration, or joy. With this in mind, let's examine a typical day underway: 1. BOWEN underway in the Mediterra- nean Sea, as seen from her LAMPS helicopter. ' 2. GMTSN McNeill paints the inside of the ASROC launcher with yellow prim- er, following an ASROC firing. 5. SN Williams stands what clearly was for him yet another tedious bridge watch. 4. The Landing Signal Enlisted CLSE5. guides SYLVANlA's CH-46 over BOW- EN's flight deck. Inside the helo is Captain Arthur P. Drennan, then BOW- EN's Commanding Officer, departing for a meeting. 5.
