COMMANDER PAUL X, RINK U. S. NAVY Commander PAUL X. RINN was born in New York City 13 September 1946. He graduated from Marist College in May 1968 and was commissioned an Ensign U. S. Navy through the ROC Program in October 1968. Commander RINN has served aboard the USS SARSFIELD (DD-837) as CIC Officer. Communications Officer and Operations Officer, USS BLAKELY (FF-1072) as Weapons Officer and Senior Watch Officer, and currently in USS BOWEN (FF-1079) as Executive Officer. He has also served as Operations and Tactics Officer for the First Canadian Destroyer Squadron homeported in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Commander RINN ' s shore assignment was served as Rivervine Training Officer and Combat Intelligence Counter Insurgency Officer U. S. Naval Advisory Group Thailand Cambodia. Commander RINN is a graduate of the U. S. Naval War College, Newport. R. I. and has conducted Post Graduate Studies at Stanford University. Commander RINN has the following personal decorations and awards. Joint Service Commendation, Navy Achievement Medal. Asiatic Campaign Ribbon, Combat Action Ribbon. National Defense service Medal, Sea Service Ribbon. He is married to the former Anne Pamela Paul of Staten Island. New York. They have two daughters Courtney and Kirstin and a son Matthew.
