:Duane johnson Marvin johnson DEDICATION Robert johnson n To the four boys from Bowdon High School, whose lives were taken on Wednesday, September l0th, 194-7, we the class of 1948 dedicate this book of the year. Marvin johnson was born December 22, 1928. He graduated from Bowdon High School and reached the age of 19. Marvin had planned to go on to Fargo to attend the Agricultural College there. We'll always remember Marvin for the way he could brighten a dull conversation-. Robert johnson was born December 24, 1929. He graduated from Bowdon High School and reached the age of 17. Robert had a pleasant personality and a wonderful disposition. Gene Brynjulson was born May 29, 1929. He graduated from Bowdon High I School and reached the age of 18. Gene was a person who could be taken into confidence and who helped all when they were troubled. Duane johnson was born january 28, 1930. He would have graduated from Bowdon High School with the class of '4-8. Duane reached the age of 17. He will always be remembered by his pleasant smile and willingness to help with any class work. Duane and Marvin were brothers: Robert was their cousin, and Gene was a very close friend. MEMORIES They are gone, but certainly not forgotten: Forever through the days their memories will remain-- Their songs, their laughter, the words they spoke Are still and always will be a joyous refrain. We look upon them as if they are just asleep, Free from weariness, fear, and the wants of life, Free to go on to the road of happiness and joy Away from all the present toils and strife. And so we dedicate' this book of the year, To the four boys who went on ahead: They are the friends, the relatives, and the sons of us, Who for thankfulness and not for sorrow a tear should be shed.
