FRESHMAN CLASS NEWS Our freshman class began this year with nine members as follows: Norma Fuhrman, Donna johnson, Clara Mae Rexine, Don jorgenson, Art Lensegrav, Charles Thorstenson, jackie Grover, Robert jesse, Ardyce Thorstenson. Donna Rodacker later joined making the total ten. The main event of the year was Initiation. Everyone was to dress as directed. The best dressed for this event was Charles Thorstenson, who was dressed as a girl. We also presented a Freshman-Sophomore play, Hans Von Smash with a few members from each class. The proceeds of this play were used to purchase a new set of Comptons Encyclopedia for the study hall. To raise class funds dues are collected. Our class officers are: President Art Lensegrav, Vice-President-Donna johnson, Secretary and Treasurer-Norma Fuhrman. The freshman subjects are: Mr. Lensegrav, English l, World History, and Orientation-Miss Hehr, Citizenship-Mr. Simmons. SOPHOMORE NEWS Our school year started with ten members. They are as follows: Clyde johnson, Billie Schaubert, Lois Mielke, jack Krueger, Marlyn Schaubert, Ralph Wollrnan, Virgil Koenig, Lawrence I-laluska, Allen Brynjulson, and Iris Stroh. Our class officers are: President-Clyde johnson, Vice-President-Billie Schaubert, Secretary and Treasurer-Lois Mielke, Class Representative, jack Krueger. The Freshman-Sophomore class also gave a one act play, Hans Von Smash . We Sophomores also planned the initiation party. lt was hard work but it was fun. This year we started collection dues for future use. THE jUNlOR CLASS OF 1948 In the junior class of 1948, there are fifteen members. We started the school year rather quietly, but soon we began to raise funds for our junior activities. To do this we sold pop, potato chips, and candy at the basketball games which were home games. We also pay dues each month as another means of raising funds. Our junior play will be directed by Miss Elsie Hehr. The proceeds from this play will be used for our junior-Senior Banquet, which will be in the spring. It is to be semi-formal with a Hawaiian setting. The members of the junior class are as follows: Audrey Kelm, james jesse, Willis Koenig, Margie Kunz, Doreen Martin, Lorraine Oien, Phyllis Oien, Virgil Rodacker, Gurmen Schimke, Kenneth Sucket, Mildred Tallman, Wesley Tiedtke, Arlo Unterseher, Arlene Grover, Phyllis Fortney. The class officers are: President-Wesley Tiedtke, Vice-President, Margie Kunz, Secretary and Treasurer-Mildred Tallrnan. Class Representative is Audrey Kelrn.
