FRESHMAN INITIATION Usually all of us are eager to begin a new school term--that is, nearly all. For you freshmen, we show our deepest sympathy. Or should we? Didn't we upper classmen have to go through the same ordeal? How the teachers could survive that day, September 2.4, is beyond me. You'd have to laugh every time you'd look at the Freshrnan row. Of course on the other ex- treme, there Were a few that appeared very attractive. Take for instance, Norma Fuhrman, the gal with the housecoat, slippers and pin curls. Ardyce Thorenson, with her complete cowboy outfit, and jackie Grover with his clown suit, paint, etc. Typical negroes were Art Lensegrav and Clara Mae Rexine. lncidentally they made a very cute couple! Are these the olden days again? One would have thought so if you would have seen Donna johnson and Bobby jesse. Donna made a charming Indian woman. The latter was dressed as a pirate. At noon hour, one could have noticed many business men peering out of their windows. Why? Well it was the customary parade in which every freshman had the privil- fs-g-E of participating. Ask Charles Thorstenson why he was a little chilly upon returning: remember that he was the lady for the day. Wig, stockings, dress, and purse changed his appearance considerably. At 8:00 P. M. we all got together at the school gym. A rather interesting question on the program was asked by a sophomore of Don jorgensong it was: Do you think Teachers will get to Heaven? It would be a very inter- esting question for debate in English class. How about it Miss Hehr ? The evening came to a close with the serving of hot dogs and pop. It really wasn't too bad-was it, Freshmen?
