Our junior Class Play ELMER AND THE LOVE BUG A comedy in one act, by Beatrice Humiston McNeil, was presented in the spring of our junior Class year of 1947, under the direction of Mr. Lensegrav. With Mother away and Elmer safely tucked in camp, the girls of the Collier family decide to have a formal dinner party. It's a big event and as the T oceed with their prepar- tions they are thrilled with the pro ct of not having Elmer around to upset their smoothly planned schedule. But that little darling can't be kept in any one place for any length of time: no sooner have they expressed their joy at his absence when he pops in and not in too agreeable a mood. Social life has no appeal to Elmer, and girls--well, they're just taboo! It's the great outdoors that attracts our young hero-that is, until a sweet young thing by the name of Millicent Carr creeps up on him unaware. And Millicent seems to know just the right thing to say and when to say it. The lovebug gets Elmer and he's pretty badly bitten but with each bite the audience was furnished with plenty of good whole some comedy.
