Varsity bats 6 wins 9 losses Under the coaching of Mr. Jim Davis the seven seniors and five juniors made up this year's Varsity Baseball team. Putting their combined efforts together they came out with a 6 win and 9 loss season. The awards were distributed to Most Valuable Player, Paul Woods, Most Improved Player, Bob James, Rookie of the Year, Mark Hobaica, All Conference, Mark Hobaica, Chris Simon, Honorable Mention, John Dorsey, Paul Woods, and Daniel Lambros. Three go to State The Wrestling Team took home a second place trophy from their first invitational at Scottsdale Christian Academy. They performed very well as a team and as individuals. Three of our boys made it to the state championships held at Tolleson High School. They were: Joe Brunsman, Arnold Soto and Tom Dwyer. They all took fifth place. The team consisted of mostly new members. These boys did well too. Joe Chavez took a second place at the Scottsdale Christian Invitationals, Brian Myers took a second place at Scottsdale Christian Invitations, and Charles Beechina took a second place also.
