Competitive Season for Varsity Team This year the Varsity team had a very tough and competitive season. There were fewer athletes going out for the sport than in previous years. The Eagles played Apache junction for the homecoming game. The team was well supported by the school, with a week of activities to help the guys get psyched up for the game. The score of the game K7-125 ruined the team's chance to be in the playoffs. When head coach Mr. Jim Davis was asked what games were played well, he said Mingus and Wickenburg because we made things happen our way and when that happens you will win. The following players received special awards for their outstanding abilities: First Team All Conference - Vince Ramella, Linebacker. Ted Kapitan Splitend. Arnold Sota, Kicker. Second Team All Conference - Chuck Zerby, Offensive Lineman. John Taylor and Chris Simon, Defensive Line. Dave Kiehle, Linebacker. Honorable Mention - Daniel Lambros, Offensive Back.
