This is the Dawning of a New Da The Senior Banquet took place on Monday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. The teachers, dressed in everyday Bourgade uniform apparel, waited on the seniors and their parents. After dinner was served, the senior awards were presented along with tokens of appreciation to Mr. Angerer, Miss Bockius, Mrs. Mascarelli, Mrs. Meier, Mrs. Scully, and Fr. Tepsic. A slide show ended the evening in a pleasant tone, stirring many memorable moments. The Bacclaureate Mass, the beginning of one of the most important days for the seniors, began at 11:00 a.m., on May 26, at SS. Simon and jude Cathedral. The seniors had purchased roses beforehand and distributed them at the Kiss of Peace. 32 MM' This is the Dawning of a New Day was the theme of the graduating class of 1983. This year's graduation commencement exercises were held on Thursday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m., in the center quad. The invocation was given by Eric Stidham, class president, Eugene Cavallo, salutatorian, welcomed The Most Rev. Bishop O'Brien, family, friends, and fellow graduates, Fr. Al Hoorman, commencement speaker, addressed the graduates, Mrs. Patricia Scully, Vice Principal, presented the graduates as Fr. Don Fetters, C.S.C., Principal, awarded the diplomas, The Most Rev. Thomas O'Brien, Bishop of Phoenix, gave his remarks and the Benediction, Chris Zagar, valedictorian, said farewell to one and all.
