Homecoming at Bourgacle: Best of the West! Bourgade's twentieth homecoming game took place on Friday, October twenty-second, the dance was held Saturday the twenty-third. This year's theme was The Best of the West. The game was played against Apache Junction, but unfortunately, the Golden Eagles weren't quick enough to capture the Prospectors before the clock ran out. The final score was 13-7. During the half time procession, the floats were paraded around the track and the winners were announced. The award for most original float was split between the Senior class and N.A.C.I. while the Junior class carried off the prize for overall best float. This year's King and Queen were crowned - Vince Ramella and Wendy Davies. Another surprising effectlthat night was the horses that led the float procession, something that was never attempted before. The following night, the dance was held in the gym which was decorated appropriately in the western theme. The many couples rocked to the sounds of their favorite songs, played by a live band - Presence. Homecoming 17
