The evil of men live after them, the good is often buried with their bones as it will be with our class. We shall give you the facts--just the facts. At 8:h5 one morning in September the year of nineteen hundred and forty-three, Miss Harnet was to have the honor of introducing the senior class to their first real adventure, School! She was thrilled when she saw the shining faces of Myrna Slaybaugh and Margaret Patterson. Even Kenny Nichol couldn't dampen her spirits. Bravely she faced the coming year with Arlen Pederson, Gordon and Roger Hall, to say nothing of Timmy Bond. These students C?j went through many ingenious devices before passing the first grade, Their favorite was something new called the spit wad, As the second grade increased in knowledge, it also increased in size under the direction of Miss Olson. The newest additions to the crowd being Keith McLean, Janis Gonitizke, and Duane Jaques. Along with Halloween and funny faces came Audrey Jones to make the class complete. Their specialty that year was nature study, though no one remembers what nature of study it was. In the third grade zeros became as common as colds and the cloakroom was usually used for punichment for giggling girls. Miss Campbell was the teacher for that year and the lesson became discipline, which was promptly forgotten when escaping school that year. Lee Weber made his entrance in- to our class quite silently so we weren't sure whether or not he was in our class. Fourth grade started with song and ended the same. We learned all a- bout Mrs. Mastvelton's cat who could run on piano keys, She even tried to straighten out all the crooked backs we had, but from the looks of things she had a time to straighten out the crooked minds. Luther Larson brought fun and a small bit of common sense to the class and his Nshickensn and Hshairsn were overlooked. Another addition to our unseemly little crowd was kern Heider. Miss Haakenstad pulled us through our fifth grade Hyeographyn and the monotony of this year was broken by Blaine lindstrom who was part of our class for one semester, She cou1dn't stand us any longer. . We approached the sixth grade with much fear. Our first man teacher UT- BJOPHSOH was to put uS through that year. we were honored by the presense of Rodney Wetzel, Howard Beyer, and Phyllis Lemieux. Mr' Biornson collected many balls, marbles, and so on that year. We think he probably mad a fortune selling them during the summer. He never did get Lutherns ncopenhagenn because he didn't bring it to school, . Arlen Pederson made another entrance into the senior class when we arrived at the seventh grade, This year is crowded with memories of Mr. Sinclair and his famous and oft' repeated words which are still used by various teachers, In his booming voice he would say, nThe Bell Has Rungln He was Very C0HVinCing too. No teacher has quite attained the effect that his words did, Z4 . l .
