SOPHONOhE CLASS Ne can truthfully say there is nothing dull about the progressive seniors of '5S. The teachers vouched for that all year. Throughout the whole year Miss Kittleson was at her wits end. She said all our biology drawings were so realistic-modern art you know. It appears we have a genious among us too. Allan Lundy claims he is one of the three persons in the United States who knows the formula for making coke. English took up either first or third peroid. Verbs and diagramed sent- ences were our downfall, so Mrs. Weeks claimed. Fourth or eighth period history depended on whether you were a member of the band. Miss Stewart said she felt five years older after the two weeks of studying inventors. Oh well, we still say Marconi invented the reaper. Napoleon was our favorite history character, dignified, so Johnny Johnson says. The Home Economics girls really gave M ss Herigstad the run around, especially during refinishing week. Old varnish and paint was removed, and tables and chairs sanded and revarnished. Janis Gonitzke said putting alcohol in the steam iron to iron curtains worked fine, It took the curtains a week to stop waving around. Mr. Holwell reported that the Ag. boys did well especially after the Home Ec. girls were through refinishing-Thanks for all the sanding you did for us, boys. ' Many of the soph. boys were active in F.F.A. and took part in observing National F.F.A. Week by presenting a special program. Allan was one of the chief entertainers but he reports he has not received any radio or television contracts. In music class everyones attention was'held by Mr. Skar and his jokes. Now he is even giving nickels to people who laugh at them. As you see we never have a dull moment as we look forward to our future graduation day. 26
