The officers elected at the second meeting are: President: MARY LOU THOMPSON Vice-President: DAN HEINO Secretary: DEBBY BREWER Treasurer: MARTHA TIBBETTS Historian: ELIZABETH FARRIN The F.T.A. took the responsibility of the planning for Parent's Night. This is the night in which the parents come to school to see how their child Qchildrenj are pro- gressing. Members of the club made bulletin boards and acted as guides. The night proved very successful. In the near future, the F.T.A. chapter is planning a field trip to some nearby university or college. We will be accompanied by Mrs. Hildegarde Barlow, the club advisor, and Mr. Rober Piper, the guidance counselor. We are also looking forward to Mrs. Christine Velonis, first year teacher in the Practical Arts Program, speak- ing to us on her experiences. We would like to give the Boothbay Region Teacher's Association our thanks for paying our dues which made us members of the state and national associations. 48
