Marston, D. I-Ieino, D. Norcott, D. Tompkins 1968-1969 has been an active and rewarding year for the Boothbay Region High School Chapter Of the American Field Service. In October our members ushered and served refreshments at the State Touring Theatre Foundation presentation. On Nov. 20, we held our annual International Supper to which we invited the foreign exchange students from surrounding communities. In Dec. wemade wreaths for a green sale and sold A.F.S. Christmas cards. ' . In March we and the A. F.S. Adult Chapter shall be entertaining the foreign exchange students from nearby schools at a reception. Boothbay Region High has been fortunate to sponsor seven students from other countries. We have also sent three of our students abroad--Christine Taylor Townsend, Martha Welch, and Robert Wallace. This year we are en- joying Hugo Sanshez Valderrama from Peru. Candidates are first chosen from the Junior Class and Senior Class: 10 per cent of the juniors and 15 per cent of the Seniors are eligible: and their names are submitted to the faculty. Using scholarship, character, leadership, and service as guidelines, the faculty chooses the new members. 39 A-
