Joe Arabas Vice-president Paul Abbott, Jr. Secretary Priscilla Reed Treasurer Nancy Dodge Shortly afterward Joe Arabas left school, leaving the President's chair vacant. Clarence Brewer, the new president of the Senior Class, was elected to Fill the vacancy. One of the first actions of the Student Council was to expand its membership to include the President, plus two elected repre- sentatives, a boy and a girl, from each class. This increased the number from nine to thir- teen members. The Student Council was instrumental in the change of the school colors from black and orange to blue and gold. This year has been marked by added re- sponsibility for the Student Council. Its mem- bers feel that this change in policy has bene- fitted the organization. Whitmore Garland '51
