SC Pays Tribute To Teachers Teacher Appreciation Day has been an on-again, off again tradition at BHS for years. This student council-sponsored activity allows students to assume the duties of a faculty member for a day. Teachers are given a slight reprieve, as role reversal awakens student teachers to the overwhelming task of education. Coffee and donuts were served to both teachers and student teachers. Many thanks to the student council for another successful activity. Lisa Roeikey replaced Mr. Kerns. Bob Falck and Ken Johnson filled in for Mr B — “B for Brunner, get it?” Andy Ickes definitely enjoyed the life of a teacher. WCASC Members — Scott Hongell. Dawn Hammond. Doreen Collins, and Pam Conway. Concession Stand Opens Mr. Steve Lemonakis, newly appointed softball coach, and team members opened the concession stand for Volleyball Regionals. The Chieftain staff began preparations to open the concession for the upcoming basketball season. During the home basketball games, other than the congested half-time, concession stand duty became rather lonely with only a few drifters. The business venture proved successful with the introduction of pizza to the menu. Amy Burgan. Lisa Bradley, and Michele Kline prepare concession for games. WCASC Members Are Involved Student council members were offered the opportunity to become involved with other county students at the Washington County Association of Student Councils. Meetings were held monthly for the exchange of ideas. Michelle Talbert gave WCASC report. Michelle Auldridge convinces Mr. Steve Lemonakis that candy bars are not fattening. Happenings — 13
