More Than Teachers The future is based upon what students learn in school. If the teaching staff is bad, then a student’s future could be in trouble. A good teaching staff was a valuable asset. They were more than just teachers; to many they were friends, someone they could turn to in a time of need. The teachers spent many hours before and after school in ad- dition to their regular day to help any student who needed it. Many did their best to make school enjoyable by going that extra mile for the students. It takes a special person to be a teacher and Boone Coun- ty was fortunate to have its share of dedicated teachers. They added to our knowledge and gave of themselves to make us the best we could be. — Sherrie Mallicoat 22 FACULTY LIFE
