111 ' , LION STAFF 1981-82 has been a year of interesting happenings here at BTVV. Beginning with 5,Sc lunches with smaller portmns, we moved on to a football play- ers ' strike during an 0-5 district season, a broken water main, an overdramati ed basketball skir- mish, and last (so far) but not least, an extended absence of our principal due to illness. On top of all this, 1982 was our year for a 10-vear evalua- tion. Seldom would you expect to find all these events happening in one year An outsider might term this ear bunk . Quite the contrary! During our lousy football season, we had the best pep ral- lies ever. As for the spread of defeatism, our bas- ketball team is at this time in the playoffs on the wav to STATE . Just because the chips are down, we don ' t go down with them. Even though this year did not bring overwhelming victories, we as a whole looked to tomorrow.
