BONNERS Fanny HIGH Scnooi. 311ZZ Two unbeaten teams met in Bonners on February 7 when Bonners beat Rathdrum sev- en out of nine matches and tied two. Three TKO's were chalked up by the Badgers. Bonners traveled to Wallace for their first trip on February 12. Wallace took the matches with three wins, one draw and two losses. The Badgers drove to Priest River on Feb- ruary 17 only to lose another away from home. The Badgers won one, lost three and drew one. The Rathdrum Panthers won from Bon- ners 3-2 on Saturday, February 21 in a five match card at Rathdrum. The Badger mittmen lost a close card at Kellogg on February 28, 5-4 with one draw. Although we lost, many considered it the best bout of the season. Un Monday, March 8, Wallace journeyed here and the Badgers again hit a winning streak. The Badgers won 4-2. The grade school boxers drew with Troy 2-2 with one draw. Continuing their wins the Badgers beat St. Maries at St. Maries. The Badgers won 3-1 with one draw. This match was the last one before the tournament. After the tournament the Badgers journeyed to Troy. Only four fights were made with Bonners winning them all by decisions. On the 18, 19 and 20 of March the panhandle boxing tournament was again held in Bonners. The Badgers fought their way to a clean cut victory in which forty-five points were earned and five championships garnered. All the Bonners mittmen, except Gene Carl- son, who suffered a cut eye the first night, placed in the top three positions in their weights. Highliglz is During the year there has been three high- lights in the field of social events, all semi- formal dances. The First one was the Senior Ball held Dec. 13 in the high school gymnasium. The theme was Winter VVonderland and it was very attractively decorated with cedar boughs, trees and a false sleigh front for the orchestra. Then came the Junior Prom which was effec- tively and beautifully decorated to the theme of Springtime in the Rockies. The student body elected Bob Spalding and Sally Servoss as King and Queen for the evening. This dance was held in the gym on April 2. On May 1 came the annual May Festival sponsored by the Girls Club. Before the dance Isobel Hyland, the May Queen, was crowned and a program consisting of many dif- ferent dances and ending in the winding of the Maypole was presented. A very successful dance was held afterwards to the music of Martin's orchestra.
