O it U ti n Un USS BONHOMME RICHARD QNNSQ -- The BluelGreen Tsunami Relief Fund Drive kicked off Jan. 4 aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard QLHD Gy. The Blue!Green Tsunami Relief Fund Drive is a way for Sailors and embarked Marines to contribute money that will directly help tsunami victims. The fund drive was coordinated by the ship's executive officer and command chaplain staff. The money will be donated to tsunami victims through a charity to be determined later, according to Religious Program Spe- cialist 2nd Class CSWJ Janaee Stone from Rock Springs, Wyo., a relief fund coordina- tor. Bonhomme Richard was dispatched to the region after a 9,0 earthquake and tsunami caused one of the worst natural disasters in recorded history. The ship cut short a port visit to Guam and skipped a planned port call to Singapore to deliver desperately needed aid ashore in Sumatra.
