LCDR Deslich was born and raised S in northern Minnesota. Graduated from Piqua High School, Uiqua, Ohio in l987. Enlisted as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator!Electronics Technician in 988. He was selected for Fleet nput to ROTC while in Nuclear Field ET A School and attended Ohio State Universigf, graduating with a BA in Political Science. After commissioning, he reported to USS RENTZ CFFG-461 as the Anti- in fqji, fg Submarine Warfare Officer. Follow- ing dUly aboard USS RENTZ, he B i reported to Commander, Maritime Pre-Positioning Ship Squadron ONE Stanely DCSllCl'lY as the squadron operations officer. - Upon completion of that tour of Navlgator p dugf, left active duty but remained it active in the Reserves. ln April 2000 returned to active duty under the l voluntary recall program, attended Department Head School and reported to f USS DEXTROUS UVICM-l3J in Bahrain as the Engineering Officer.
