X f if A f A Z f f f Z ay! ft ff f ZW We arrived on the line just in time to strike the Fusen and Kyosen hydro-electric plants in North Korea in the greatest combined effort ofthe Navy and Air Force since the war started. This was followed up by sorties against targets i11 the city of Pyongyang, capital of North Korea. The Air Group inflicted great and extensive damage upon the enemy and prosecuted the com- munication interdiction program with a good will and spirit. The ship did the housekeeping and made it possible for the group to operate: This was our FINEST HOUR . This was the reason for our training. This was the justification for our being in the Navy.
