On this the Bicentennial Anniversary of our great country we might take a moment to reflect on the dedication and servi- tude of our Colonial forefathers in wanting to guarantee that every person could be free to live the life of his choosing. The greatest asset of our democracy is the freedom which is guar- anteed to every citizen. Education is the foundation of freedom. Without a sound, free education available to everyone, a society such as ours can- not long endure. If each person is to achieve the genuine free- dom of self-direction and self-fulfillment, he must have an education that correlates to his position as a free-thinking in- dividual. The Yearbook is a pictorial, historical summary of our year's activities at Bolingbrook High School. The early Colonists were not able to capture in printed form their experiences as we are able to do in this modern era. In years to come you will have many opportunities to relive the moments that have been cap- tured in this book and to reflect back to your days as a student at Bolingbrook High School. Donald E.
