Clase Prophecy Just ten years ago the Semor Class of l954 was out 1n the world free of school l was th1nk1ng of all the graduates wondermg upon what road thelr llves were travehng My frlend sa1d Oh say 1f you really want to know let us go see Monsleur X He IS really a wonder when It comes to crystal gamng We went to a swanky part of town and there we went to a lovely apartrnent We met Monsxeur X In front of h1m was an enormous crystal ball He sald lYes I know why you have come set 1n front of me and gaze 1nto the ball l stared 1nto the ball and I beg1n to feel sort of dreamy Soon a b1g p1cture of a Petroleum lndustry located 1n Tulsa Okla came mto v1ew l suddenly remembered one of my former classmates say mg that he would be a m1ll1ona1re by the tlme he was th1rty lt was none other than Elbert Arter who was now marr1ed to Inez Osborne New York C1ty presented qu1te a plcture There we saw LaFaye Sm1th model1ng beautxful weddxng gowns 1n one of the most excluszve shops Soon a pxcture of a great crowd came 1n vmew 1n Washxnvton D C In the center of the crowd was a soap box on whxch Iackxe Morgan stood He was begmmng h1s campaxgn for Pres1dent Next aopeared a lxttle cottage on the outskxrts of Chxcago There stood Barbara lVI1l1er Exdschum watchmg her husband as he left for work The F1ISt Nat1onal Bank 1n Tulsa then came 1n sxght where Paul Braun was Pres1dent and whose secretary was Barbara Norms Then l was sw1ft1y wh1sked away to Bowen Alr Craft Company ln W1Ch1t3 Kansas where we saw Pat Wh1teC0ttOn employed there As I gazed mto the ball the v1s1on was cloudy then suddenly appeared a swanky restaurant Located on the Wa1k1k1 Beach Honolulu It was owned and managed by the former Betty Fesperman Behold that lmmense orange orchard What couple IS that strollmg through It Oh' l see 1ts the owner and h1s wlfe James Patton and the former Vxrguua Statham Here comes a b1g car and look the man gettmg out 1S Donald Horton the owner of the largest packlng plant 1n Southern Callforrua The scene changed and look there 15 a hospltal seated at the PBX board was Naom1 Tecurnseh ch1ef operator Klawana Gamble was head nurse at the hosJp1tal but walt a mmute who could that be Helen Vmcent servzng as dletxcxan for the hospltal A large hlgh school came 1nto v1ew and there teachlng commerce was Shu-ley Beth Parsons B111 Tackett came lnto vxew He was owner of a large ranch ln New Mexxco The w1lds of Afrlca now appeared there stood Raymond Beshers who was one of the greatest game hunters of hxs t1me Thls faded away and a lxttle mmssxonary school appeared located 1n the Bahamas Island Ahce Myers was one of the rn1ss1onar1es Mons1eur X passed h1s hand over the crystal ball and he was none other than our sponsor Mr Tolbert who we greatly respect '1 R so , ' - ,, . . .
