9 Boise High School y As one of-the oldest educational .institutions in the state, Boise High School can look back on a rewarding seventy-three years. She has stood at 1010 Washington Street for 54 of those 73 years and has seen herself grow from a little red brick school house into our colurnned gray ,temple of higher learning of today. The school has seen the graduatingclass growlfrom 4 in 1884 to 525 in 1954'and the faculty from 3 to 60. She has been fully accredited since 1918 and can today boast of 147 different courses ranging .from auto mechanics to trigonometry. Though she consists of four large buildings, the main plant, finished in 19235 the Industrial Arts building in 1926, public school field, 1931, and the gymnasium, 1936, 1956 will probably find another high school in Boise being built on the river property below the depot. Population growth has caused the school to drop enrollment from four grades to three grades 119371 to two grades 09531. M g Our heritage and tradition has been built well in the past, and will continue to provide the spark necessary to make this a winning school. We can 'almost be sure that no matter what happens to Boise we shall still find students going to high school at 1010 Washington Street and shallastill find many of our outstanding teachers in their same old rooms.
