5' Moving the big piano across the stage is quite a task for one member Especially if the rest of the crew wants to move it the other dnrection At the initiation this year the refreshments were a novel thing The coke came ln bottles with nipples' Page 30 The grew pulls ropes to let dawn the backdrops llt really doesnt take the whole crew but they all wanted In the picture J SMS This year the Stage Managers Society had a relatively large turnout with seven boys on the regular crew using the auditorium regularly there was no lack of work for the industrious boys The SMS activities were not all work for parties provided relaxation Also various backstage activities though frowned upon by school authorities ligntened the working hours of our stage boys Among the various activities an which the SMS participated were school plays class assemblies com munity concerts and private programs With the able and intelligent guidance of Mr Lefty Davis the stage manager the SMS can look back to a successful year in T954 and 55 Officers were Chuck Coulter President Hal Nesbitt Vice President Norman McMurtrie Secre tary and Bob Helmuck Treasurer Camera Club Keep that door closed' Dont you know its supposed to be dark in here? A person innocent an the ways of a dark room may have these apparently rude words thrown at hum upon entering because a developing process may be going on Ths is only one of the things members of the Camera Club learned Do you now what a hypo or t e bat whats the difference between roll film and pack film? These terms are all in the life of the shutter bug Besides printing pictures the club had various other activities Under three year President lna Joiner and the other ofticers Vice President Anna Lawwill and Secretary Treasurer Mary Cochran the club took trips to Idaho Camera and the Joiner dark room Thrown in for enloy ment was a picnic or two Miss Lewis ably advised the group The darkroom is the mam place for actlvlty in this club They learn to deve op and prlnt pictures .
