CLASS PROPHECY Before me sTands a shop l have never seen before Slowly I push open The door and sTep InSlde The shop IS sfrangely guIeT and empTy of any human sound As my eyes become accusTomed To The dark ness I noTIce The unusual and even Welfd furnIshIngs On a far wall hangs a beau Tnful ChInese Tapesfry and a huge black caT wITh emerald slanfed eyes lurks ouT of a dark corner I glance quIckly around The shop and IusT as I Turn To leave my eyes fall upon a paIr of cupped hands As I move closer I can see a dIm glow comIng from Them or raTher from The small crysTaI ball whIch They are holdIng As I sTare InTenTIy The glow becomes brIohTer and I can make ouT words IH scrIbed on The small mysTerIous ball Tl-IE HANDS OF TIME My eyes are held by TheIr glow and I begIn To feel as If I am faIIIng under TheIr spell Info a pIT of whIrlIng confusIon Gradually The COUTUSIOH deparTs and In The dIsTance I can barely make ouT fIg ures As They become larger I realIze IT IS a foofball game The ball IS fIyIno Through The aIr and a player lumps up To brIng IT down SkIlIfulIy avoIdIng The defendmg Team he breaks INTO a run and I recognIze The famIlIar sTar as none oTher Than Emerson Dromgold WhIIe KermIT Fullmer home from The Navy sTands by TheIr manager Mac WIIson congraTuIaTes The Golden Bears wInnIng The game The pIcTure fades and I am now In The halls of a hospITal As I pass Barbara ParIIn The new TechnIcIan The emergency buzzer VIUQS The ambulance drIver sTarTs 195 ?
